Charlotte Whittle is a dramatic soprano from Scotland. In July 2024 Charlotte sang the role of Donna Elvira in Bath Opera’s production of Don Giovanni. She made her debut with Cardiff Cotswolds Opera singing as Third Norn and Gutrune in their production of Götterdämmerung. A graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Charlotte went on to study with Vera Wenkert at the Institute Stimmkunst in Zürich. She has sang many scenic performances in roles such as Senta (Der fliegende Holländer), Elisabeth (Tannhäuser), Elsa (Lohengrin), Sieglinde (Die Walküre), Agathe (Der Freischütz) and Amelia (Un Ballo in Maschera). Having recently sang Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder with the Heisenberg Orchestra, Charlotte worked again with the Heisenberg this Spring singing the role of Mutter in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel.
