Family Fun Day

Artisan and Makers Fair | Prebendal House | 10am - 2pm | Free

Beautiful, unique artwork and handmade crafts created by artists and craftspeople from Llandaff and the surrounding area. A wonderful opportunity to chat to the artists and crafters and browse for original gifts and items including ceramics, glasswork, jewellery, metal workers, paintings, prints, textiles and woodturners.

Festival Bar

Our Festival bar will be open selling hot drinks and cakes in Prebendal House.

All events are free entry unless otherwise stated and there is free parking on the Cathedral Green.

Music

There will be live music outside the West front from 10am until 2pm and will feature performances from Chris Hughes, Justone Theatre Arts and Scottish Dancing.

Complete a Cathedral Animal Trail and win a prize! Meet our Welcomers at the back of the Cathedral for instructions and set off on an adventure around the Cathedral.

Tours

Llandaff Cathedral Art Treasure Promenade | 11am and 1pm | £5

Why not join us for a walk around the cathedral, looking at the Cathedrals spectacular art? 

Learn all about our Rossetti Triptych, the Bishop Marshall Panel and our beautiful Lady Chapel in this 45 minute guided tour and talk around the Cathedral.

The tour will be led by art historian Morgan Haigh. Places are limited, book your space below! Meeting point is at the High Altar.

Tower Tour | 12pm and 2pm | £5

Why not visit the 15th Century Jasper Tower and see part of the Cathedral which is not normally open to the public? Climb the spiral staircase to see the ringing room, the clock mechanism and the bells themselves with a ringing demonstration. And, if the weather is fine, go right up to the tower roof for far-reaching spectacular views over Llandaff, Cardiff and the Taff Valley.

Tours are free but pre-booking required as numbers are limited. Due to health and safety restrictions, children under seven are unfortunately not permitted on the tours. Please be aware access to the tower is via a steep spiral staircase and therefore may not be suitable for those who suffer from poor mobility, claustrophobia, vertigo or general ill health. Sensible footwear and clothing should be worn.

Please meet at the back of the Cathedral Nave in good time, late comers will not be guaranteed entry on the tour.
